It’s hard to execute on this 6-7 daily writing routine when I’ve got two boys in the kitchen that want breakfast and things to play. I made it happen because I’m selfish and this is my success routine. Daily agenda:
6-7: write
7-8: AA
8-9: Bus stop and walk or OrangeTheory if going to 8:30 class
10-6: work
6-8:30: play with kids, sports activities, dinner
8:30-10: bedtime ritual, reading
That doesn’t cut it. I need more details and more to do. What are you writing? Should I dedicate some time to investing research? I’m following all these folks on Instagram that appear to have found out the secret to easy money. Apparently I need to buy some houses with 20% down on each, then rent them or airbnb them, then do a cash out refinance, then buy some more until I’m sitting on my ass watching the checks roll in. I’d have to pull money from my stocks which are way down. That means taking a big L on those tech investments. C’mon Warby Parker, Lucid, 2U, Plug Power, Upwork, Pacific Biosciences, Revolve, and MindMed magic mushroom research! Get your goddamn head in the game!
I’m reading the book called “What Happened to You?” by Bruce Perry and Oprah. The most meaningful connections we have with our loved ones are often short. They don’t have to be on a family vacation or designed memory making event. They are often moments of connection where you’re looking your loved one in the eyes, fully present, being real. It can be as simple as sharing a bowl of cereal with them before the other people in your family wake up. Prior to jumpstarting your daily agenda and ticking off to do items. Fuck, I just missed an opportunity. We could be playing Pig Out right now. I’m out.
